Meet The Team

Dr. David Ciriani, Dr. Corbin Sallis, & Dr. Kelsie Sallis - Family Dentistry

Terri

Office Manager

After graduating from Kamloops Senior Secondary School, a long, long time ago, I was offered a job by Dr. Bill Albiston in his dental office. I enjoyed working as a chairside assistant and receptionist for Bill and his great staff. After a few years, life and family took me, my husband, and 2 children to the lower mainland for 5 years. I worked for an endodontist in Burnaby and did some temp work as well. My family - with our new baby boy - then moved to Smithers where I met and worked for Dr. Ciriani for 11 of the 13 years we were there. We moved back to Kamloops in 2002 and are thankful to be near my parents. Five years ago, Dr. Ciriani offered me a position in his Kamloops practice, and I gladly accepted.

I have come full circle now as Dr. Ciriani had purchased Dr. Albiston's practice where my dental career first began.

I am very grateful!

Shauna

Certified Dental Assistant

I moved to Kamloops at the age of 5.

I have been a C.D.A. for over 35 yrs. What a journey!
My hobbies include skydiving and barbell training.  I like to challenge myself and both of these hobbies do that for me.
I have been volunteering for hospice since 2009.  I am grateful to be able to provide support for end of life care.
Live, love, laugh...and hug.

Kim

Certified Dental Assistant

I have been on a journey for 30+ years as a Certified Dental Assistant. My training began at Camosun College in Victoria. Being an "island girl," it was a great last "Hurrah!"

I am honoured to work with a great team at Sagehills Dental for so many years. I am also honoured to work with our dentists within our First Nations community. We have made many changes from our paper chart days to our paperless ways, from film x-rays to digital x-rays. What a journey with more to come!

I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Nelson, BC. I completed my first year sciences at Camosun College in Victoria, B.C, and I finished my Dental Hygiene schooling at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, B.C.

Since 2010, I have been working with Dr. Ciriani at Sagehills Dental and True Smiles Spa. I am also a Community Dental Hygienist in Kamloops and the surrounding Thompson-Cariboo areas, helping to facilitate programs in Health Services for Community Living and Public Health.

Outside of the dental world you can find this proud momma spending time with my two boys and husband, playing sports, travelling, or working at the Farmers Market selling Oso Negro Coffee and Saorsa Donuts.

Darlene

Registered Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised in Northern BC. Prince George was my home for over 30yrs where I raised my three children. I spent 15yrs as a Cosmetician before going back to school to become a Registered Dental Hygienist.

I attended the College of New Caledonia in Prince George where I won several awards in the Dental Hygiene program and graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2005.

I have worked in both BC and Alberta. While living in Alberta, I completed a Pharmacology Module and obtained my Prescribers License for Dental Hygienists.

When not at work I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my husband and our 6 grandchildren. Although sticking to the more mellow sports like hiking, backpacking and camping, I have gone skydiving with Shauna...once....just once.

I am proud to be a part of your professional Dental Healthcare team helping you achieve a healthy smile!

I am from a small rural community in Northern BC called Fort Nelson where I started my career as a Dental Assistant at the age of 19.

I have worked with over 20 different dentists over the years  and have over 24 years of experience in dental and administration.

I moved to Kamloops 5 years ago with my husband, 2 adult teens, and our blue healer dog. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, river boating, gardening, and running.

I have been with the Sagehills dental team for 3 years now and have chosen to be a part of the Administration Team as a new career path. I enjoy our patients and Sagehills team immensely! You will recognize me as the bright and smiley admin, ready to help you with any questions our patients or team have.

I was raised in Barriere, BC, a rural town north of Kamloops, BC. Along with my husband, we raised our three children in the small community of Simpcw, BC.

I received training as a Medical Office Assistant in 1996, but life had other adventures in store for me at the time. In 2005, while a Support Worker for both Neqweywelsten School and Little Moccassins Headstart, I was asked to lead the Children's Oral Health Initiative (COHI) pilot project with Dr. Ciriani and Q'wemtsin Health Society for Simpcw First Nation. Thus began my journey into the dental field! The years were full of children, sports, and work commitments. An opportunity to join Sagehills Dental Group as a Sterilization Technician came in the spring of 2017. I gladly accepted! i have learned a great deal with the clinical team while in Sterile Bay. In July of 2019, I was offered the opportunity to join our Office Administration team!

Sadie

Certified Dental Assistant

I came to work part time with True Smiles doing whitening, sports guards, and administration on the weekends.  Having a variety of things to do is always challenging and I enjoy the fast pace.

When the opportunity came to work full time at Sagehills I accepted and have been enjoying working with such a fabulous dental team!

Dr. Ciriani’s continued studies into TMJ and sleep have opened up a different avenue of dentistry that is interesting and challenging at the same time.  I am enjoying learning a new approach to our patient’s overall health.

Jody

Registered Dental Hygienist

I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and I have worked with Dr. Ciriani for 18 years.

Sophie

Sterilization Technician

I grew up in the northern part of Italy called South Tyrol and lived there until I decided to travel through Canada in 2016. As fate would have it, I fell in love with this beautiful country, and I’m still here.. Lucky me!

I worked as an administrative assistant for 6 years and did some other little jobs like waitressing at a mountain lodge, working in a ski resort in customer service, and serving in a coffee shop.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors going horseback riding, hiking, biking, camping, skiing, cross country skiing and lots more.

Heather

Registered Dental Hygienist

I was born and raised here in Kamloops, but lived in Toronto while I completed my hygiene degree. After graduating from hygiene school in 2011, I came back to Kamloops to start practicing.

My husband, 2 sons and I love to camp in the summer and ice fish in the winter.
